Quest: Buyers & Cellars

=D It’s time for another quest! I’ve been awake about an hour now, so I have enough brain function now to attempt another quest! Another easy one, that is!

Again, there are no skill or prior quest requirements for this quest! You do, however, need logs. The type does not matter, as long as you have the skill level necessary to set them on fire.

Well, apparently this is another Lumbridge quest. The starting point is in the cellar of the house NORTH of the Lumbridge smelting furnace.

Once you get your butt in the cellar, go talk to Darren. Depending on which options you choose, he’ll either give you and explanation about what he’s up to, or not. I usually got with listening to everything a NPC has to say, mostly because I like the stories and what not that go along with the quests.  After your little talk with Darren, agree to help him and you will have successfully started the quest. After starting the quest, Darren is (annoyingly) going to ask for a display of your skills. So he asks you to pickpocket, of all things, a straw dummy. Go ahead and do it, and impress Darren with you’re know-how in thieving! Then…he’s probably going to ask you to continue pickpocketing the dummy…to earn his ‘advice’, if he thinks your thieving is a little lack luster (aka, if you’re a lower level thief like me!).

After you exit Darren’s cellar, head into the courtyard of Lumbridge castle and meet Robin on the south wall of the building. Chat him up!

Well, the bad news is this: Now you’ve got to go to Lumbridge swamp, to visit Father Urhney. Walk inside and make an attempt to pickpocket him. And fail. Yes, you’re going to fail. HAH! So take that, those of you with high thieving levels! >.> Minor temper tantrum aside now….let’s continue with te quest!

Rather than picking the old mans pocket for the key, talk to him. Chat up the old priest until you can say ‘bye’. At some point, you’ll be told to go back and ask Robin for help. WHY he didn’t just come with you, is beyond me. Now, run you’re unhappy butt back to Robin. He’ll tell you his plan, what it entails, and send you back to the shack in the swamp. With the logs you’ve been carrying, and the tinderbox Robin gave you, set a fire outside of the priests window (it does not matter which one). Run inside and speak to Father Urhney. Ask about the chalice, and pick the chat option “FIRE! FIRE!” NOW pickpocket the stubborn old man! Open the chalice case and obtain the chalice! Now…go back to Darren! (note…I’m lazy. the last time I had to go to Lumbridge, I just home teleported…) Use the chalice on him in order to give it to him.

All of that…over this ugly little cup.

Well, you’re quest is done now! Go ahead and read all of the pamphlets that Darren gave you (each one is worth 175 xp). Congratulations, you now have access to the thieves guild!

;D So I've re-faced this blog. It's no longer a 'Runescape' blog. Instead, it's become a sort of 'Gamers Grotto' where I'll post stuff about whatever game I'm currently playing! =P Enjoy. And if you'd like a link to my personal blog, hit up the ask box!
